Natural disasters are very frequent in the World. Flood droughts, land sliding, tsunami etc are the major natural disasters. Excessive rainfall results in floods. Continuous and heavy rainfall leads to high rise in the water level in the rivers. It leads to floods. In sea shore violent and huge waves appear in a flood can cause extensive destruction to man’s life and property. A flood leads to spoil the crops and deteriorate the growth of crops. Relief camps are opened and food and medicines and clothing’s are availed to the needy. Scarce rainfalls also shatter the rural economy. People suffer from the very lack of drinking water and for water for bathing and washing purposes. Land sliding and volcanic eruptions and earth quakes are also natural disasters which ruin the resources of the economy. Hilly areas are the chief zones of land sliding. Heavy rain and pressure from the ground under cause the land sliding. Once this occurs it ruins many building and property and put an end to the lives of many humans too. Manmade disasters like pollution and spoiling the environment can be controlled to an extent but these natural disasters cannot be controlled by man. No precaution can be taken beforehand. They leave man helpless. Man is affected very badly. In fact it only reminds him of the fact that he is still at the mercy of nature still.
